Kathmandu, March 24 (RSS): Twelve fake examinees attending the written examinations for various positions in the Nepal Army administered by the Public Service Commission have been arrested.
The arrestees that include four women and eight men were found to be taking the examinations for other genuine examinees, said the Metropolitan Police Range, New Baneshwor. One was held from Ratna Rajya Secondary School exam centre, and the rest 11 from CIT College exam centre, Tinkune.
Some of the fake examinees were hired for money, while others did the illegal act voluntarily for their relatives, said a police preliminary investigation.
The arrestees have been identified as Kabita Shrestha of Kathmandu, Janaki Majhi, Manisha Bista and Samip Rokaya of Kailali, Samjhana Magar of Dolakha, Gopal Dhakal of Bhojpur, Prakash Bhandari and Gautam Rana of Bardiya, Lochan Wagle of Kaski, Mohit Bhandari of Gulmi and Sudip Karki and Dibas Karki of Dolakha.
Action would be taken against the arrestees, and investigations were underway to find whether others have been also involved in the illegal act, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabi Poudel.
